All are welcome to attend this workshop. Open enrollment for this workshop is during the first 3 weeks only. The group is closed to new members after October 1st. If you have friends who you think might be interested in attending this workshop, please share this information with them, including the homework assignment so they can catch up.
NOTE: There is Homework listed for the first meeting on September 17th. (See links below)

A sign-up sheet will circulate for the first three weeks. If you put your name, phone number (optional), and email address on the list at any one of the first three workshops, you will be considered “enrolled” and will be expected to attend all 26 workshops. The meeting roster will be shared after the third week. Reminder – the roster is for recovery purposes only.

A big part of working the Loving Parent Guidebook is to connect by sharing your experience, strength, and hope with a fellow traveler. It is strongly suggested that you meet with a fellow traveler/ACA supporter each week to share your answers to the workbook exercises. There is no substitute for having a witness to your story and your growth. This is a good practice in breaking the “Don’t talk, don’t trust, don’t feel” rule, as is shared in the weekly workshop.

There are 26 meetings in this guidebook workshop, ending March 25th. There will be no meetings on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, resuming the following week, January 7th. If you miss a week, stay current on completing the homework and sharing the assignment with your fellow traveler/ACA supporter The workshop is intense and so much information will be shared. Please understand that any effort you put into this work will be helpful for you and strengthen your recovery experience. The chance you will want to do this workbook again is likely because you will want to absorb what you missed the first time around.

There are service positions to be filled for this workshop. The facilitators will be rotating throughout the workshop. There will be more information on this topic at the first meeting. Please consider doing service as a facilitator.
Loving Parent Guidebook is the text for this workshop. Guidebooks are available for sale at in-person meetings, on Amazon, and at adultchildren.org.

This workshop is not intended to replace your ACA home group. I encourage you to attend meetings regularly to expand and advance your recovery from dysfunction, volunteer for service, and become involved in the ACA fellowship.
